Illuminate My Life Counseling and Spark in the Dark have teamed up to launch a new pilot program to help provide funding for mental health counseling in the Traverse City area.  

Traverse City Bill Marsh Auto Repair Program

Bill Marsh and Spark in the Dark saw the same unmet need in 2021 and decided to do something about it by working together to create a pilot auto repair fund in the Grand Traverse area.

Spark in the Dark is redefining the impact that social media can have on a community by connecting people in need directly with people who are able to help in their area. In doing so, we have connected 12,000+ needs to solutions every year since 2017.
As the first of our kind, we are changing the nonprofit sector by using technology and social media to turn online conversations into offline communities.​We never turn away those with unusual or difficult needs. We walk alongside our members, connecting them to a local community with the resources to help solve their challenges.

This group covers a 40 mile radius of
​Manistee, MI​

It is with great excitement that we are able to publicly announce that Spark in the Dark has been hand selected out of thousands of applicants as 1 of only 77 organizations worldwide to participate in the 2020 Facebook Community Accelerator!

This is a 6-month program created to help leaders and their impactful communities take it to the next level.

It is our honor to represent our area, region, and state throughout this program as a great example of what it lookslike when a community comes together to thrive and care for one another in times of need!
